Getting in a little early at Laguna Seca for the World Superbike round, Asphalt & Rubber was treated to an exclusive look at the new MV Agusta Brutale 800 America, the special edition street bike from Varese, Italy that debuted last week.
The darkly lit pictures that MV Agusta showed us last week, and even the ones that we have here, don’t do this limited-edition bike justice, as the colors pop and match perfectly in the sunlight.
I was actually surprised at how different the bike looked in person, as the machine really comes together when you see it first-hand, and not on a computer screen.
MV Agusta says that enthusiasts continuously ask for more special edition models, and so the MV Agusta Brutale 800 America accommodates that request.
Changes are only superficial for the 2017 MV Agusta Brutale 800 that resides underneath the red, white, and blue livery (with its gold highlights), which might be a good thing, since this edition of the Brutale line is hands-down the best machine to come from MV Agusta, mechanically speaking.
But, with only 50 units being made (48 of which are headed to buyers in the USA), the opportunity here is to own a special machine…and at only $15,000 MSRP, the $1,500 premium over the standard model for such an exclusive bike is fairly modest.
For those attending the WorldSBK races here in Laguna Seca, it is worth seeing the MV Agusta Brutale 800 America in person, especially in the Californian sunlight.
